Delete your account
How to permanently remove your account and all associated data (GDPR Art. 17).
What "delete" means
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile + username (the URL
/p/<username>becomes available for someone else to claim later) - All your tracks, including masters + streamed versions in our storage
- All your folders + files
- All comments, messages, posts you authored
- Your follow + repost history
- Your activity feed entries
- Your email_preferences row
- Your sessions + session history
- Your booking + relationship history
- Your auth.users row (the Supabase auth record itself)
We don't delete:
- Emails you sent to other users (those are on the recipient's side)
- Email events that mention your address (we anonymise these to keep bounce-rate metrics accurate, but the address is scrubbed)
- Aggregate analytics we've already exported (no per-user data, just counts)
- Audit log entries with admin actions (legal retention)
How to delete
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Scroll to the Delete account section.
- Click Delete my account.
- A confirmation dialog asks you to type
DELETE my account(exact case + spelling). This is the safeguard against accidental clicks. - Click Confirm delete.
- You're signed out + redirected to the home page.
The deletion runs while you wait: your data is gone by the time the page redirects. Per GDPR Article 17 we have 30 days to delete it; it happens on the click.
Things to do before deleting
- Take a copy of your data. Settings → Privacy → Download my data gives you one file with everything tied to your account. Useful if you want a record of what was there.
- Tell your collaborators. Folders you're a member of will see you leave automatically; standalone tracks you shared via listen-links will 404 after the delete. If a mastering engineer needs the master one last time, download it first.
- Decide on the username. After your delete, the username is freed. Someone else can register it on a new account. If you don't want that to happen, contact support to put the username on a hold list.
Re-creating an account later
You can sign up again with the same email; it's not blocked. But:
- The old data is gone permanently. No "restore my deleted account".
- The old username will be available unless someone else claimed it in the meantime.
Suspended vs deleted
These are different:
- Suspended: account is locked, data is preserved, can be reinstated by support. Happens for ToS violations or extended fraud-investigation.
- Deleted: data is gone, no reinstatement.
You can only request your own account deletion. Suspension is initiated by us; deletion is initiated by you.
